Supernova Ambition

Motivational Poem

They say shoot for the moon
Bad idea
I’d rather shoot for high noon at the Sun when the sky is clear.
By the time my arrow gets near,
My target won’t even be there
So bright that I could not stare
Leaving me the night air to look up and wonder “Where?”

Knowledge of the unknown assures my shots home
So upward I must roam; stagnation uncondoned
Gravity defeated, every round goes higher
Until I reach the heaven where I sent my star flyer
Risen above the clouds, now I see it. The once distant
Admired from afar, this acquirable star
Heart strings attached, I pull my cosmic kite
Just a little to the right with all my might.
Now I shine bright as supernova’s light
