Life's Light

Love Poem

Her eyes were like sunbeams to my soul.
Breaking away the clouds she forced her way through my atmosphere to illuminate with her fantastic glow.

And upon this light, I was inspired.
As I couldn’t help but admire her purity; her strength.
So sure to me was night’s length that I accepted darkness.
Living in night vision, imprisoned amongst the land of the heartless.

Never dawned to me my dawn would be like Dawn to me and wipe my slate clean.
Opening up a scene of angels singing praises to my King.
And I join them with thanks for my queen.

Her smile is like… if noon stood still on the most beautiful summer day.
Teeth sending white rays that shower me head to feet.
Setting my heart ablaze with love’s heat.
I live on to seek sunrise’s repeat.

Potential realized through her eyes I reflected her aura from the outside inside out.
Path lit from tunnel’s end I proceed without doubt.
She, by my side and prize, and I the perfect two.
She my life’s light and I, her orange moon.
