Love Déjà Vu

Love Poem

I’m in love with déjà vu
Conflicted ‘cuz I can’t pick between it or you
See… lately I been blue; My feelings not so true
Time and distance have me reminiscing of when old was new
Now, kissing you is like fishing;
Nothing but hits and misses in a sea of emotions of the possible non-existent
Love, our time apart has starved my heart
Life goes on but I’d rather go back to start.

We’ve had ourselves a good run
Now, my love, it’s our time to learn of each other’s new twists and turns
My crutch, once upon a crush,
Our ups and downs was the coaster that caused my gut to flux
Oooh the loops made the rush such a must
I don’t think I’ll ever get enough
Retinas recognize what the soul cannot recall
It’s like looking at the same ride with different falls
So I’m willing to do it all again with you because I’m so in love with déjà vu
